Monday: We head south and spend time in Oxford, ‘city of dreaming spires’ a beautiful city packed with medieval architecture and plenty of attractive shopping opportunities. At the hotel, time to settle in before dinner which is served with a glass of wine and is followed by a movie night.
New Year’s Eve: Off we go to Windsor, home to the largest and oldest occupied castle in the world. Perhaps stroll along the river to Eton and view the college, once attended by Prince William amongst many others, or why not soak up the buzz of New Year’s eve in one of the town’s bustling bars or restaurants? Back at the hotel don your party best for tonight’s New Year’s Eve dinner with music and dancing into the early hours of 2025.
New Year’s Day: After a leisurely breakfast we head for a visit to Winchester, England’s ancient capital, a compact city with plenty of attractions to explore. Returning to the hotel for tea, coffee and mince pies. Light entertainment follows dinner.
Thursday: Enjoy breakfast before we return north, calling at the popular town of Warwick,
dominated by its medieval castle, with pretty timber framed buildings housing a selection of unique shops, bars and cafes.
